My suggestions for the high schooler in regards to repetoire:

Weber: Concertino for Clarinet
Both Clarinet Concerti
Mozart:Concerto, KV622
Clarinet Quintet
Brahms:Clarinet Sonatas, Op. 120 (Both of them)
Saint-Saens: Clarinet Sonata
Wagner (attributed to him) Adagio for Clarinet
Bernstein: Prelude, Fugue and Riffs
Peter Schickele (no, not his PDQ Bach stuff) Title escapes me right now,
but it is a rather nice piece. Pub. in 1977.
JeanJean: 1er Rhapsodie (a perennial favorite with PMEA district band auditions)
Poulenc: Clarinet Sonata (although it might be a bit advanced at your level,
it's worth a read.)

Bax: Clarinet Sonata (see comment for Poulenc, and only attempt the first
movement.)
