This is so simple here. If you would like to be a union member, go for it.
If you'd rather not, then don't. There's no one right answer here. We all
have to decide for ourselves, amateur or pro; conservative or liberal, if we
personally can benefit from union membership. It's a personal decision that
we've taken much too far (and I know I haven't helped).
