Richard,
Here we go again with these misrepresentations. Since when have
there been no jazz big-bands because of high musician wages? What a crock.
Simply put, the demand isn't there among the general public. How many
people under the age of 40 (most of the night club crowd) would prefer a
50's Big Band over a rock & roll group doing 60's-80's covers?
Hey all, let's cut out this commie-bashing in the guise of Union
bashing. Too many people have swallowed that old canard about unions as
instruments of socialist crackpots. Wake up and join the 90's. Are you
really doing better today? Maybe you're not because the Unions have LOST
power in the last 20 years because of anti-union policies of the
Reagan and Bush administrations and are unable to effectively safeguard
the interests of the working man. Ever think of that???? Remember PATCO?
