To all concerned:

1. Repentine (obs.) sudden ; root= Latin or Old French Source:
Webster's Unabridged.

2.About a year ago I picked up the Clarinet after a 30 year hiatus and
so am rather behind the times. My instrument is a Buffet serial#
30051. Interpolating from the list in Clarinet FAQ it is probably
1945 vintage. Is that correct?
How is this instrument related to the R-13?

3.I am currently using a Penzel-Mueller Artist #3 mouthpiece. I have
no way of measuring the length of the lay or the tip opening but it
seems to be slightly more closed than B45 with a more gradual slope
of the roof at the start of the windway. #3 V12s work OK on it. I
would like to find some close modern near-equivalent if possible.

4. After I such a long lay-off I would like to find someone in the
St. Louis, MO area from whom I could take a few lessons to get my
mechanics straightened out and just generally to provide information and
advice.
I you can suggest someone, please contact me by e-mail at
fkern@-----.edu
Thanks
Frank Kern
