Subj: a gentle plea for improved communications

Friends,

One custom that has proven very helpful to users over the years is the use
of the brief quote when replying to another's message. Without it, readers
can become confused as to what is actually under discussion. It seems on
KLARINET that more and more messages are appearing "out of context." Would
it be possible to include even the briefest reference, e.g.:

"Joe asks which brand of reeds make the best kindling for starting fires."

These brief reference help not only current readers, but readers who later
perform subject searches on an archive.

Thanks much!
