This piece was composed for Eugene List. And Villa-Lobos wrote in Paris.
The low range for clarinet is cleared with simple answers:
1- Villa-Lobos always wrote for C clarinet, however, he knew that A
clarinets had a range to low Eb(at least in Brazil).
2- The first and second piece can be played on Bb Clarinet.
3- The third piece can be played on A clarinet.
The First concert in Brazil was on April 26th, 1962 with my
professor Jos=E9 Botelho on Clarinet, Noel Devos on Basson and Heitor=
Alimonda
on Piano.
I have one part for both Bb and A clarinet.
Plaese contact me if you want it.
