One thing that you might mention is that a lot of women play
professioally in the various service bands in the DC area. One woman
that I know is at the US Naval Academy. She is the solo clarinetist,
(not concertmaster... she does not have the rank yet for that!)her
name is Linda Reeves. She is a wonderful player. Bio info may be

Sometimes it's cool for students to understand that not all people who
make their living playing are in the major orchestras.
