Chris wants to mention female clarinetists and their importance to
the business. He suggests that we use some contemporary women
clarinet players as examples.

Chris, to do that would imply that the woman clarinetist is a
contemporary phenomenon. If you will consider a suggestion, the
book on great clarinetists of the past has at least two women
who were considered world class soloists at least a century or more
ago. I think one was Karoline Schleicher.

Of course use the women of today, but women of the past should not
be ignored either.
