I do have a copy of the album that Buddy deFranco plays all bass cl. In
addition to the poeple you mentioned you should have Vinny Golia, Louis
Sclavis, John Surman, Marty Krystall, Marty Ehrlich, Don Byron, Gianluigi
Trovesi, Manfred Pilz and many other contemporary reed players. Sclavis
has a group Trio de Clarinettes with two basses (a marvellous group) and
Wendell Harrison's Clarinet Ensemble also uses a bass.
