Last year I attended the Eastern MENC conference in Rochester, NY.

It was wonderful. It's a huge music education conference. I picked up a ton
of teaching materials, went to many informative workshops and heard some
great concerts.

I would highly recommend attending the Kansas City MENC conference.

I wish that I was going to Kansas City this year!!! Unfortunately- I can't
swing it this year. : (
