Just another opinion....

The Cavallaro and Alteri bag are made of similar material on the outside.
The Cavallaro is lined with polyester fleecing, not lamb's wool as someone
else stated on the list today. The Alteri bag is lined with a multilayer
insulation that includes, I believe, a mylar layer. Both are very effective
at keeping the horn insulated for short car trips, etc.

The double case covers fit similarly, a pretty snug fit. The difference in
fit is in the single case covers. The Cavallaro fits snug like a cover, but
that makes the pocket(s) unsuitable for carrying music. The recommended
Alteri Bag is bigger than the case, so the pocket(s) can accomodate
French-sized charts.

Alteri sells their bags with options like Backpack straps, and the latest
has a pocket for the backpack straps so they can be stowed when not needed.
The backpack option is a lifesaver in the airport when you have other bags;
also popular for the bicycle freaks. Both brands come with a standard
shoulder strap.

Which one to choose? Depends on how you will use it. I use Alteri bags, and
only have one bag to carry. If you carry a separate case for your music,
the Cavallaro is just as good.

Best Regards

Dave
