Have you considered that the smell could be in the case and not on the
instrument. I have seen public school students use their cases for
carring all manner of things. The smell you describe could be perfume or
someting simular (especially if the bottle came open in the case). Try
setting the case outside in the sun...open sans clarinet, of course...for
a few days.
