There's a very good trio by Canadian composer Alan Heard (the title is
"Trio" for violin etc.) -it's a substantial piece (~20') and quite
challenging (one section near the end goes up to high B and C in fast
staccato arpeggios... with a few grace notes just for spice!) but worth the
effort. I don't know if it's published, but if not it's available from the
Canadian Music Centre (I don't have their address handy but I can get it if
necessary).
