Subj: Relax about cracks?!

To be honest, I'm rather astonished at the posts as of late regarding
cracks in one's instrument - and so many along the same lines (absolutely
no pun intended). I've never heard of ANY professional clarinetist taking a
crack in his/her instrument likely. Clark? Other repair techs? Am I an
alarmist, or is there actually a situation where a crack in one's instrument
may be blown off (so to speak) with the notion of, "Eh, it's not so bad. I'm
not going to worry about it until it gets bigger"?
