Ciao Ronald.

Very glad to speak with you.

Only one thing:
what's the meaning of "purism" on basset horns?
I hope nothing to do with selmer one that, only by the fact it must be
played with
Bb mouthpiece puts it in the specific category of" IBRIDI". (I don't
remember the english word for Italian "Ibrido". (i.e. half way).
You may not agree but I always prefer other instruments.
Personally I've played several times with a Leblanc with absolutely no problems.
I love Eb alto clarinet and Basset horns with specific mouthpieces (and
consequently
different bore)
The typical sound of basset horn must NOT be reconduced to Selmer instruments.

Have you ever played the DG Buffet clarinet?
I met some years ago Daniel Gautier, in Paris, and he is a very clever man.
I own one of his instruments and it sounds very well.
Next Time

Ciao Paolo
