The mouthpiece I have on the Bb is a plastic Santy Runyon Jazz #5. It
cost only $16 new and probable set in the music store for a long time
because the outside circumfrence(sp) is too small to take a regular Bb
ligature.
One of those plastic flexable ligatures for the Eb mouthpiece fits great.
I'm not sure why this piece is so much smaller. There is also a kind of
platform along the side rails (I guess because the outside circumfrence
is less than the average. Maybe I like the smaller size: I have tried
many pieces but this one is "it" for me.
