REGARDING THE SELMER Eb CLARINET--I JUST PICKED ONE UP IN A PAWN SHOP FOR
$100 AND HAD IT OVERHAULED. IT PLAYS EXCELLENTLY, AND MUCH MUCH BETTER
THAN THE YAMAHA PLASTIC ONE I HAVE PLAYED IN THE PAST. THE TONE IS VERY
GOOD. BUT IT PLAYS VERY FLAT WITH THE SELMER BARREL. I REPLACED IT WITH A
ROBERT SCOTT 43MM BARREL AND IT SEEMS OK NOW. [ALSO USING A RICK SAYRE
MOUTHPIECE, VERY GOOD]. HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED THIS FLATNESS PROBLEM
WITH THE ORIGINAL BARREL?
