Dan,
When I was in Vienna studying with Roger Salander, he felt that in
the Mozart Concerto, very rarely would you slur over a bar line. He based
this on playing the Concerto on a period instrument. He felt Mozart wrote
it with that instruments flaws (or areas that were impossible to play
legato) in mind. I haven't talked to Roger on this in a while but I think
I remember his idea right. Does this fly?
