Jon,

I would strongly recommend "A Short Lecture on the Clarinet" for
Bb clarinet and speaker by William Bolcom (1976). This droll,
entertaining work is published in manuscript form by Edward B. Marks
Music Corporation, and can be heard in a taped performance by John
Mohler, which is available from Roncorp, a New Jersey-based publisher.
