The only color my thumb turns without a thumbrest is a nice numb
purple. If it turns spotted, then I worry.
While on the topic, I noticed in this issue of The Clarinet on p.47
there is an add for Quodlibet's new FHRED, which those who haven't
seen it looks like some kind of clarinet stand that holds the clarinet while you
play. It is kind of hard to tell because of the picture how it wouldn't
get in the way. Has anyone seen or tried this. The add says that it
"Acts Just Like Your Thumb". I don't know about anyone else, but I know
my thumb can probably do more everyday than this invention.
