I remember Nelhybel from his summer work at Blue Lake Fine Arts camp. I
have an old picture of him shaking my hand (in the late 60's). I was the
concert master. I didn't realize what a great man I was working with at
the time. A few years ago I had that old photo laminated.
He used to smoke crooked (rum soaked?) cigars constantly.
