I didn't know his address, but I *did* know that he moved to the
Washington (DC) area a couple of years ago and that he takes his clarinets
to the same repairman whom I use. So I decided to look him up in the
local telephone directory. This clarinet icon -- whose records bought in
the 1960s are still important parts of my collection -- appears in the
Bell Atlantic Northern Virginia White Pages as

I wouldn't post anyone's telephone number without permission, but
directory assistance probably works for all of you.

BTW, since the telephone book does not include the (postal) ZIP code, I
decided to look for him using <http://www.switchboard.com/>. That's also
where I found the apartment number. If you haven't yet tried that URL,
take a look; it's an easy and convenient way to locate people. If you
live in the USA and have a telephone number, you're probably there. I am.
(They indicate that they plan to include Canadian listings soon.)
