Hi Ann,

Student mouthpieces under $50 - I've heard kids play on the David Hite
Premier and they sounded pretty good. It runs about $20. I believe that
Muncy sells the Vandoren mouthpieces for right under $50.

Student books - I like the series that Belwin puts out "Clarinet Student";
"Studies and Melodious Etudes"; "Duets"; and "Tunes". The real young ones
need catchy tunes to keep them interested. The Rubank just doesn't provide
that.
