I picked up an old "A" clarinet. It is difficult to make out the
name on the bell. It looks like "Prewand" or "Permand" "Champlain."
There are other letters on the bell that look like "BIPS BDG." Also
stamped on the bell is :
A
LP
FRANCE

It is quite an old horn. The register key opens on the top of the
horn.

I would be interested in any information on this horn.

Also, I picked up cheap an Evette-Shaefffer Eb, (serial #
B8795). The intonation is pretty bad. How much can an overhaul
that adjusts pad height help? I have a Vandoren 2RV mouthpiece.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
