Everett,
I have a current Buffet Crampon clarinet catalog. It shows the pitch
for the Jazz Festival as being 442, and strangely lists two barrel
lengths 66mm/64mm (maybe it comes with two). It does not appear to
have convention metal rings at any joint except the center joint.

My local dealer now has three Festival Clarinets on order and I am
looking forward to trying them when they come in. He said he was
going to stop selling R-13s (I don't know if I believe him).

Can you make any sense of the Buffet line of instruments? It seems
completely incoherent to me with R-13s, R-13 Prestige, RC, RC
Prestige, plus Elite, Festival, DG, Green Line, and who knows what
else.
