You're right -- I don't know much about Benny Goodman, but I do know that he
didn't play on a Buffet while he was endorsing Selmer. Oh, it was just an
anecdote? You certainly didn't make it clear that this wasn't a true story
when you sent it. In fact, you actually tried to make it sound true: "and I
won't mention names..." Yeah -- and you're telling *me* to get a life?

Okay, maybe it wasn't appropriate to send this out to the entire list, but I
think it's important for people to know that stupid jokes like this may not
be interpreted by all as jokes -- that's what happened here. People should
make it clear when they're being sarcastic to avoid confusion like this.
