I agree with Lawrence. What happened to just the beauty of
the clarinet as an instrument to produce music? Music is an art,
not a means of sexual satisfaction. Some types of music can be
but I don't think classical music should be dropped into that
category. Listen to rap or rock if you want that.
Playing the clarinet is another way of speaking. I feel
the emotions like sadness, happiness, lonliness, whatever the
music I am playing depicts. There is a character to music but it
isn't sex! What do you do when you visit an art museum? You look
at great art. When you listen to classical music, you are
listening to art as well. Where did this distorted attitude
toward the art of music come from.
