You believe that? I played on a Selmer for two years, and it was all right
(for an intermediate-level instrument). I'd venture to guess that Goodman's
Selmer was far better than those that are made today -- remember, they were
still hand-making them when he was playing.

I'm convinced that as long as Goodman endoresed Selmer, he played on a
Selmer. The Selmer Company wouldn't pay a musician for carrying a Buffet
instrument in a Selmer case. I'll leave it at that -- I have no desire to
start a Selmer vs. Buffet argument. :)
