Rebecca,
There are 2 bass clarinet stands that I know of. The Blayman stand
for $140 from Muncy Woodwinds (1-800-333-6415). This stand is heavy and
not that portable. The orchestras I play with own one and they are very
solid. The stand I own is a Konig & Meyer bass cl. or bassoon stand. It's
foldable and much lighter than the Blayman. I use it during the summer
pops or on the road when I don't have the Blayman. The Konig stand goes
for $89 from Muncy. You do have to alter the cup the peg will rest in.
It's designed for bassoon so the cup will fit a bassoon. I added a small
plastic end piece from a cardboard mailing tube (the kind you would get a
print in). This fit perfectly and works fine. On the Konig make sure that
the locking screws are tight so that the stand doen't fall - it's never
happen to me.

Dan
