i think "intimate" might be a better word, at least for playing with other
people (playing MUSIC, that is). in duets, for example, you lock into the
flow of music from the other player, respond quickly, perhaps initiate a
dynamic here and there, perhaps playfully introduce a variation to see if
the other understands and picks it up. it's certainly sensuous and
delightfully cooperative, but always controlled by the intellect.

things are not sexy just because they are exciting. or are they?
