I've been making a living playing jazz clarinet for many years, and for the
past ten years I have been playing on a Buddy DeFranco #3 mouthpiece that he
turned me on to when he had a performance in town. Needless to say, I love
it, or I wouldn't be playing on it for so many years. With it, I use La-Vaz
Medium Hard to Hard reeds. I find more good reeds in a La-Vaz box than say,
in a Vandoren box of ten. Although, when you find a good Vandoren, you have
an excellent reed.
