Just another Benny Goodman story. Later in Benny's life a musician who I
will not mention names asked Benny, "Hey, you're still playing those Selmer
clarinets?" Benny Replied, "Hell no, I'm playing on a Buffet. I'm just
carrying it in a Selmer case because I'm paid to endorse Selmer."

P.S. I used to have a Selmer Senotone, which I loved, but it just wore out
with age, since I got it second-hand myself, and the repairman just refused
to touch it after bringing it to him after about ten times.

And you're absolutely right, Jazz playing does require that you find the
right mouthpiece and reed setup.
