Dan,
Get the fire hose out! If my wife found out about this I'd have
all my Brahms locked up. I'd have to buy it in a plain brown bag, sneek it
into the house, and hide up in the attic to silently practice the Quintet.
When the right music, moment, and musicians come together, I feel
it's more of a mystical thing. It's the height of communication (almost
telepathic) without words.
I better go I think the mailman is here with a plain brown package
from Luyben music and I've got to hide it before my wife comes home.
Don't forget to abstain from Brahms Quintets on Fridays in Lent. Only
Sousa marches till after Easter.
