Brad Behn mentions Paquito D'RIvera's Mozart on soprano sax. I would like to
add that he is a remarkably urbane performer in person (I saw him in Berkeley
a couple of years ago) and apparently performed Weber in concert in Cuba at a
rather young age (on clarinet, not soprano saxophone). In the heat of a
rather hot latin interchange between himself and the pianist at the Berkeley
concert, the two suddenly began trading back and forth on quotes from Bach's
Well Tempered Clavier! Now that's culture...
