Claudia, I posted the original message, and I'll forward you a copy
directly. I want to thank you and the several others (some directly to
me instead of to the list) who responded. You're the only one who
actually owns one of these little guys.

I spent about an hour on Sunday practicing on the Penzel-Mueller E-flat
(alternating with my Buffet A and getting a real feel for the difference
in the finger spans). The more I play the P-M e-fer, the more I think I
like it. But I still intend to try the Buffet that I mentioned in my
original request for information.

Regarding your P-M E-flat, Claudia, you mentioned that "there is lots of
play in the keywork, and one local repairman refused to work on it because
he only enjoys working on high-quality instruments." I wonder what model
your instrument is. The "Artist Model" that I'm evaluating seems to have
very high quality workmanship.

Thanks again to you and to the others for your feedback (and to provide
you with some context for possible addtional information, a copy of the
original post is almost on its way).
