One of the best parts I have ever played is the D clarinet part for the
Strauss Symphonia Domestica. There were some screaming moments, but what a
rush. Incidentally, the other parts are just as good. There are two b-flat
parts, one A part (sort of a solo part), D clarinet and Bass.

When talking about good parts, one cannot also leave out pieces by Respigi
(ie the Roman Trilogy or Church windows). He wrote well for all the
instruments. Lastly, the first clarinet part in Barber's The Lovers is
pretty cool.
