The Selmer Company of Elkhart introduced a Resonite clarinet after WWII-
the early ads for the instrument featured a Studebaker Champion (also and
Elkhart product) being supported by joints from the new clarinet.

I have an Albert system Eb soprano by Holton from the 1920's which is
made of ebonite--Henry Lazarus (Victorian era English) had an ebonite
clarinet made by Fieldhouse--
