Don't ask me what happened to the note I wrote. I am unable to
explain how three sentences could get that mixed up in cypberspace.

Anyway, what the note said was the Joe Rabbai (correct spelling)
is a friend of mine and I am sorry to hear that he is ill. I saw
him last on the Met Opera Orchestra tour and we had dinner together
in San Francisco.

Joe was formerly the first clarinet in the Israel Philharmonic and
he often joked that he bore the name "Rabbai," was 1st in the
Israel Phil,and was born and raised an Italian Catholic!
