Dear Dr. Pyne,
I am looking for a mouthpiece and want to ask your advice.
I would like to find something which is handmade, with a reasonably
close and long facing, and which will accept Vandoren Blackmaster
reeds. I used to use a Gigliotti P34 which worked well with those reeds,
but the workmanship on it was poor. I now have a Fobes, and Clark
worked with me to find a blank which was closer to the dimension
of the reeds. But his blanks are really made for the
V12's and I still get an occasional chirp with my setup. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Dan Oberlin
