Tania,
This is a real dilema with me. I don't mind when one of us
clarinetists "steals" rep from another instrument (Stolzman doing the
Mozart bassoon Concerto, Eddie doing the Vivaldi 4 Seasons). Actually I
like that. It does bother me when other instruments take ours (sop sax
doing the Debussy!!!, what next the Mozart on bagpipes?!). I guess I
should just look the other way when this happens. I still don't like the
Brahms Sonatas on Viola - I keep thinking how better they sound on
clarinet. Let me have it but please not the Nielsen on bass saxophone.
