Just out of curiosity- how would you classify Ulysse DeLacluze's sound. I
have a record of him playing the Widor and his tone is very nasal and thin
(to me). Is that correct? and is that what we mean by the "French" sound.
On the other hand, I don't like Deiter Klocker's sound either. His high G
is almost annoying. And I don't care for the silly cadenzas he puts in to
all of his recordings. I feel that they detract from the piece. Does
anyone agree or disagree?
