Excuse me if this issue has been on before, but it is worth mentioning
again. There are a lot of pieces (concerti, sonatas, etc) that were written for
the clarinet extraordinarily late in their respective composer's life. Some of
these pieces include:

Mozart-Concerto (probably the most famous)
Schumann-Fantasy Pieces
Schubert-Shepherd on the Rock
Brahms-Sonatas (for that matter, the Quintet and Trio as well)
Poulenc-Sonata (a favorite, even among non-clarinetists)

Please fill me in on any I may have missed. Also, remember, the lesson to be
learned is an important one:

DON'T WRITE FOR THE CLARINET. IT WILL KILL YOU!
