I purchased the Five Seasons last weekend and only had time to listen to
two seasons and touched on the rest. It is amazing playing as one
might expect from Eddie. The technique demands are tossed off like a
Klose etude, but with infinitly more musical depth. The work flows along
ala Vivaldi and at occasional cadence spots, he takes off with a jazz
quartet with 'Bird" Vivaldi. Listen with an open mind and its a
wonderful-musical treat. Forget if it should have been played on a C, A,
Bb clarinet with a trills from the top note or is it the bottom. This
goes along with Galways Flute version and the Lindberg (sp) Trombone
version, amazing!
