A good source for a small clarinet is the Kinder Klarinet, available from the
woodwind and brasswind for I think $250. It's quite a decent
instrument--missing a few pinkie keys, but what the heck. I started a tiny
student on it--it does squeek a lot in her hands, and she prefers playing her
B flat, stretch as it is, to fit in with the kids in her band. Ann Quinn
