From: "Dan Leeson: LEESON@-----.EDU> Subj: A clarinet player helps Clinton and Gore Date: Wed, 13 Mar 1996 12:18:32 -0500
In the March 8 issue of a New York newspaper, the following quotation is
given as to the breadth of influence of clarinet players:
"DEAR DUBBED VIP
by Lucette Lagnado
"Forget Edgar Bonfman. Think Noach Dear.
"The clarinetist-turned-city councilman from Brooklyn
is emerging as one of the most influential members of
the Clinton-Gore team, raising nearly $350,000 fro the
president's 1996 re-election campagin over the past
several months." [snip]
Would anyone who knows of Dear tell us how he gave up the clarinet
and became a city councilman or does he now have two jobs?
And does this mean that if Clinton wins he will give up playing
tenor sax and switch to Buffet???? I want to hear him do the
solo from Till Eulenspiegel!! Anyone who can play that (and on
D clarinet please), deserves my vote.
