Subj: reeds - V-12 or traditonal? What do you think?

For many times, and in the last 3 years, I've been played with
Vandoren V-12 reeds, and I had good results in that time. However, now I
don't play with these reeds, because, their lifetime is short, and, for many
time I had problems in one day before a recital: the reed was too flat.
In a recent reserch for my Thesis I discoverd the V-12 reed is more
thick than traditional reeds, and it will be diference between a good one(
with a long life ) and the anothers. What do you think about?
