My dad wanted be to be a sax player, 'cause he loved Paul Desmond's sound.
But he knew I would have a broader future if I based my sax playing on a
clarinet foundation (how he knew that I'll never know...hew knew nothing
about wind instruments) -- so I became a clarinet player.
