You're right, Bill, it's a C! Giora Feidman now regularly plays Bb, C, bass clar
inets and
basset horn in his recitals, and can also be heard on C on his more recent CDs (
e.g. Classic
Klezmer). By the way, does anyone know the brand of this strange ligature he is
using on
his cristall mouthpieces (I think he is using a Vandoren A1 on Bb)? It looks lik
e a ca 5 mm
wide metal ribbon with a single screw, holding the reed just at a single point i
n about the
middle of its length.
