Teri,
Try this for the High A. Play the E and add the 2 RH. side keys(the ones you
add to get 1st space f#) to get the high A. It works well and gets you back to
the E with out much Risk.( Keep the RH. Eb down )

Teri,

Here are a couple fingerings you might try:

1) just play the "regular" fingering for the high A, except depress
the F#/C# key with the pinky, instead of the usual Ab/Eb key. You
will also have to "voice" it a bit with the oral cavity/embouchure.
It works, but is somewhat iffy.

2) finger the high A this way: second and third fingers on the left
hand (high E minus the Ab/Eb key), the two lower side keys on the
upper joint (right hand), the second and third fingers of the right
hand (on the bottom joint tone holes) and the F#/C# pinky key (L or R,
but R is easier to coordinate, probably). The problem with this
fingering is that if you use your right hand for the F#/C# key, you
will be playing your high E without the Ab/Eb key. Depending on your
particular instrument, that could leave you hanging on the flat side
with a nice, loud, juicy sustained note!

There are some others, but I feel them to be too awkward or
out-of-tune to consider.

Have fun...It's an absolutely terrific tune!
