Until my recent C clarinet acquisition, I played C clarinet parts on the
A clarinet. Two examples that come immediately to mind are "Barber of
Seville" Overture and 3rd mvt, Brahms Sym #4. I'm sure there have been
others, esp in sharp keys, as the A takes away three of the sharps.
